Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate, GED or higher education
  • Medication Administration Cert. preferred
  • 2-Step TB test with negative results
  • Completed Application
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families
  • Competence Skills: decision-making, analytical, technical knowledge, computer literate (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • CPR/First-Aid Certification required
  • Must meet all State health requirements
  • Must be able to work full-time or part-time
  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Drug Screening with negative results required
  • Criminal Background check required
  • Trained/Certified in infectious diseases and blood borne pathogens
Essential Job functions:
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Remain abreast of current State regulations regarding resident care and medication programs. Conduct regular inspections of all resident records and medication documentation, maintaining them in accordance with State regulations. Supervise medication distribution and storage. Interact with resident’s physician and pharmacists as needed.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Understand, supervise, implement and follow safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of Meals: Provide and cook meals as outlined according the resident diet order and following prepared menus as posted. Using substitute policy for meal.
  • Residents’ Right’s Functions: Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding resident’s right.
  • Physical/Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination; pushing and pulling; distinguish smells, tasted and temperatures, read and write; communicate with residents and staff; remain calm under stressful conditions; hear and respond to resident emergencies.

Criminal Disclosure:

All facilities or services shall require that all applicants for employment disclose any criminal conviction. The impact of this information on a decision regarding employment shall be based upon the offense in relationship to the job for which the applicant is applying. Warren Care Services will require a state-wide criminal background check from all employees within 5 working days before employment. Warren Care Services will perform the background checks. At the Facility’s discretion, it will be determined if the applicant is eligible for employment with the company.

Health Care Registry:
Warren Care Services will perform a search of the Health Care Personnel Registry to ensure all residents receive the best of care from each staff member. The applicant will not be hired if there are substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the NC Health Care Personnel Registry. Prior to employment each application will have the HCPR done within 5 working days of employment and the report will be placed into the applications file and every year thereafter.
